A former space marine gets a call from her younger sister to share the news that she just started a job at a new space colony. When a strange noise precedes the call being dropped, Alys begins investigating. She confirms all communication with the planet has stopped, but no one believes that it could be anything more than equipment failure. She calls in a few favors, grabs her old armor, and stows away on the next cargo shuttle headed to the colony.
She arrives to a ghost town, and soon discovers that an unknown population of vicious creatures have wiped out the colony. Her visit turns into a fight for survival as she desperately searches for any hints of her sister and a means to escape the planet alive.
Proof-of-concept Short Film
A casual Base-building / Tower Defense video game called “Landing Zone” has been conceptualized that would leverage 3D assets already acquired for the short film. The video game would be released before the short film, and serve as a surprise tie-in that is expected to garner substantial earned media and social media engagement for its unique relationship to the film.
This story is available for a 12-18 month option agreement with writing commission.
